The Domination Game

There is a silent fight for dominance in my household.  I'm not actually sure who it's with, whether it's Steve, Samantha, Sammi's aide, M., or some weird ghost-type-entity with a strange obsession, but I have my suspicions, and I'm about to bring it out into the open.

Over or under?

Yep, that's what it's about.  Toilet paper.

The main level powder room keeps changing.  I always ensure that the paper rolls over the top, making it easier to find the end, especially since Samantha usually uses that bathroom by herself.  And on many days, I go in to find that the roll is under.  Unacceptable.

So, silently, stealthily, I change it back.  Trying to make my message heard, my dominance asserted.

Until the next time.

So, how do you roll at your house?

HA! This made me laugh. This happens in my house too. But only when the roll is used up and my hubby has to put a new one up. He always puts it under. I always put it over. What can you do? LOL

My hubby taught me this 16 years ago. :0) I had never given it any thought...after looking at it closely and carefully calculating...over won EVERY time. ;0)

well, since I am the ONLY one who knows how to put TP on the roll holder it goes over ALYAWS....b/c we all know that's the right way (right?)
However, there has been only a couple of times the girls will help and put it on....let's just say they haven't learned the right way to put tp on :)

Definatly OVER! And what gets me is that there are 8 people in our house and yet I am the ONLY one who changes the toilet paper roll!!! Drives me nuts!

my husband has some OCD , haha we have found out years ago, or at least we were able to put it a lable to what was just *crazy* for the rest of us, he has so many ... mmm things he likes his way, he can have it other way, we called "his autism stuff" and few days ago we were talking about roll paper too.. haha i never really thought about it, but i also makes sense to me that is "over" but for him in his head has to go under, but the roll in the other way... mm ... never mind, lol, i just checked and is over too here, but he likes it the other way, and Elias could care less about it, ha!

good luck on finding the truth :)

I'm just happy if Mikey replaces it after use. That's it. I'm so sick of finding a new roll everywhere except where it should be...

over. Aaron felt pretty strongly that way when we got married, and I didn't carry, so I became a convert. Now, I'm convinced it's the only way. (-:

I know I'm odd man out, but I ALWAYS go under. It's how it was in our house growing up, and it's the only way I look for the end in the middle of the night in the dark....

Ah ha ha ha! Over. Definitely over. Not too much of a problem in our house because my husband never actually puts a new roll on the roll holder - just on the floor beside the toilet. Gah! Drives me crazy. I mean really, it takes what, three seconds to put the paper on the roller. Thanks for the laugh :)

Over for sure! It just doesn't roll into your hand in the under position.

I read once that they asked a bunch of recently divorced people what the number one annoying thing was about their previous mate and the top answer was which way the toilet paper roll faced. We are an over the top family here - no disputes.

Kimberly's comment made me laugh. I guess weve survived almost 25 years because we agree.... over.

I say that if this is the biggest issue in a day you're having a great day!

And Over.
