I just love nature this time of year. I discovered this half of a robin's egg yesterday in our front yard, happy to see that there was a nice, intact nest just above it, and that there were no signs of foul (fowl) play. I just wish the nest were a teeny tiny bit closer so I could see the happy family inside, but I guess that's the point of nests being up in trees, out of reach...

Absolutely awesome shot - wow! My robins egg shot was dirty - really! It was in dirt and did not come out well. Oh well...
I love the sounds of the birds in the morning, I know spring is here!
I have a funny Robin story. We found a baby Robin, and we were trying to get it back into the nest. But the momma kept dive-bombing us. We were never able to get it, and I felt so bad because we found it dead the next morning!
