Let your life lightly dance on the edges of Time like dew on the tip of a leaf... - Rabindranath Tagore

Come, come, my conservative friend, wipe the dew off your spectacles, and see that the world is moving...
                                       - Elizabeth Cady Stanton

Sorry if this is a bit of overkill, but here are the other favorites from my 15 minutes in the garden on Sunday.  Oh, what marvels it held!!!!

The "Butterfly Bush," doing what it's supposed to do.

On their way...somewhere.  (Doesn't the one in front look like "she" has long eyelashes?  Must be a girl.)

Hello there!

I totally didn't see this guy when I first started photographing the plant.  Then he twitched an antenna...

Here's the green guy again.

I just love how its little wings are folded across its back, its little furry bum covered in pollen.

Got honey?

Saying prayers.  (Young praying mantis, or is this a stick bug?)

  2. Crickey! Every one a work of art. Seriously - have you bought frames? My in laws just gave me a coffee table book from our local botanical gardens & there isn't a shot in there comparable to these.

  4. Oh Id love to see one with the beetles and the red-orange lilly done in balck n white with the beetle still in color -with layers. These are great photos. Alot of busy-ness going on in the garden for only 15 mins of shots... I am working on a painting right now of hydrangeas. Going to see if I can have it done this Friday......if I can stay off my computer long enough!

  11. I love how having designer gene kiddos teaches us to find beauty in everything...even bugs. :) I don't have a garden. I do love taking pics of water though.
Make sure you post your camera and lens info with your nature shots. People wanna know. :)
